Mediocrity can contribute to a lack of progress and innovation in society. When people settle for mediocrity, they may not strive for excellence or push the boundaries of what is possible. This can lead to stagnation and a lack of advancement in various areas such as technology, education, and social progress. However, it is important to recognize that mediocrity alone may not be the sole factor in destroying society, as there are many complex issues at play. **

Diving goggles are not allowed in the swimming pool because they are designed for use in deep water and can obstruct peripheral vision, increasing the risk of collisions with other swimmers. Additionally, diving goggles are not necessary for swimming laps or recreational swimming in a pool with clear water. The use of diving goggles in a swimming pool can also create a safety hazard if the wearer dives into shallow water thinking it is deeper than it actually is. **

Always taking the middle path can lead to mediocrity because it often involves avoiding extremes and settling for a compromise. While compromise can be beneficial in some situations, it can also result in a lack of innovation, risk-taking, and bold decision-making. By always choosing the middle ground, individuals or organizations may miss out on opportunities for growth, excellence, and differentiation. It's important to strike a balance between moderation and boldness in order to avoid mediocrity and achieve success. **

Using a diving mask instead of swimming goggles can provide a wider field of vision and better visibility underwater. Diving masks are designed to create a watertight seal around the eyes and nose, preventing water from entering. They also typically have a nose pocket for equalizing pressure while diving. However, diving masks may be bulkier and less streamlined than swimming goggles, which could affect comfort and performance while swimming laps. **
